Redcon Shifter vs Competitor's Shifter
Redcon shifter is constructed from welded stainless steel. The rainbow-colored weld marks on the welded area create a more sophisticated look, and offer a cleaner look and improved rigidity. Redcon Shifter features a slimmer body, requiring significantly less or no machining of the vehicle's interior. 

When existing competitors' shifters used in race cars are disassembled, you can find a large amount of black grease on the rotating shaft, resulting in a mixture of applied grease and ground-up aluminum powder to mix, causing durability issues. While initially smooth, it gradually become stiffer and develop play, needing frequent servicing/repairing. 

Redcon Shifters are designed with a high-carbon steel shaft and dry bearings (oil-less bearing). These bearings, also known as sliding bearings, are used in the reciprocating motion of automotive shock absorbers and offer exceptional durability. As a result, they maintain excellent operation & smoothness for a long time and have a significantly lower coefficient of friction, resulting in superior wear resistance (superior durability).

While existing competitor's shifters only allow the use of its own gear shift knobs, Redcon shifters are compatible with virtually all aftermarket gear shift knobs. You can replace it with your preferred gear shift knob, without being stuck with one brand.

After installation, the initial position of the competitor's Shifter's lever is fixed. Redcon Shifter has an adjustable bracket that fixes the cable body, so the initial position of the lever can be adjusted to suit the driver. 

Redcon Shifters are available with a "dust cover" for interior finishing on almost all vehicle models, allowing for a cleaner, OEM finish.
